You have been asked to write an informative article on the importance of healthy eating for an elementary school newspaper. In a
melomori [17]
You can start with a question, an interesting fact, or a description of an event. bUT DO NOT start with "My essay is about" or "I will be talking about." If you do, your audience will throw tomatoes at you BUT NOT PUTING THEM IN THEIR MOUTHES (no pun intended). I'm telling you. Interesting facts can perk up the audience's attention to the essay (or paragraph). Now, for your body. STAY ON TOPIC! If you go from talking about the importance of eating healthy foods to how to party or even what your favorite foods are, that pretty much deflates this rule and --- more tomatoes. Don't forget to give 3 - 5 facts about why. You should state them in order using transitional words, such as first, second, and third. Or "to start off with", "next", "then you have", and "lastly". These are pretty basic to keep everyone on track. BACK UP YOUR OPINIONS WITH FACTS! This is PROBABLY A persuasive paragraph, so you need to make people agree with you. Bad paragraph: "First, it is important to eat healthy. Second," and at that point --- tomatoes. Facts back up your opinion to prove it correct, and you might even see someone throw away their popcorn listening to you. Lastly is the conclusion --- well, just toss the intro there and change it up. Or, you can make a new one that is catchy. Ex: "So, eating healthy foods (include words from previous sentences), and that is worth more than perking your taste buds to sweets." Now you're ready. Don't stare at that blank paper nervously. i TRIED THAT AND WELL YOU CAN ALREADY SEE THAT I GOT A FACE FULL OF TOMATOES Using these common rules, you will persuade the audience to stop throwing tomatoes at you and stuff that healthy veggie into their mouth.

Afina-wow [57]
Although she was in pain and dying, she was still determined to break her habit. She faced death and determination. She did not blame anyone, she just knew what she had to do, so she did it.

Select the correct answer.
Ugo [173]

The paragraph of the excerpt in which the tension surrounding Mrs. Wessington's presence begin is in the third paragraph. (Option A). This question is about "The Phantom Rickshaw"

What is the theme of The Phantom Rickshaw?

The theme of the above story is one that speaks to Betrayal.

The narrator, Jack, had an affair with Mrs. Agnes Keith-Wessington at Simla, but later dumped her and got engaged to Miss Kitty Mannering.

Mrs. Wessington, however, keeps popping up in Jack's life, pleading with him to change his mind and saying that everything was an error.

But Jack continues to shun her and doesn't want anything to do with her. Mrs. Wessington eventually passes away, much to Jack's relief.

But later on, he notices her old rickshaw and believes it has been purchased.

The rickshaw and the men hauling it suddenly pass through a horse, shocking him by exposing themselves to be ghosts carrying Mrs. Wessington's deceased spirit.

This causes Jack to become more unpredictable, which he attempts to hide by making up increasingly complex stories to allay Kitty's concerns.
