Please help, thank you

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles that are marked are called "vertical angles" (I think of a pair of scissors) The two angles are equal to each other. (They get bigger or smaller together, like a pair of scissors)

So, set them equal to each other and solve.

3x + 50 = 6x - 10

SUBTRACT 3x from both sides.

50 = 3x - 10

ADD 10 to both sides.

60 = 3x

DIVIDE both sides by 3.

20 = x

aaron is 3 times as old as his son. in ten years, aaron will be twice as old as his son. how old is his son?
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

His son is 10 years old.

Step-by-step explanation:

Now Aaron's son is s years old, and Aaron is 3s years old.

In 10 years, Aaron's son will be s + 10 years old, and Aaron will be 3s + 10 years old.

In 10 years, Aaron's age will be twice the son's age.

3s + 10 = 2(s + 10)

3s + 10 = 2s + 20

s = 10

His son is 10 years old.

Can someone plz help me now plz
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Write down what you have for each pizza size.

small: s

Medium: (3/2) s

Large: (5/2) s

The only way I can see to do this is

s = L - M

s = 5/2 s - 3/2 s

s = 2/2 s

This of course is not exactly what you are looking for. There is no explicit formula that will tell you exactly how much dough is in a small pizza.

See the comment below posted by SqdanceFan. He is saying that M/L = (3/2)//(5/2) = 3/5

Also (M)/( S + M) = 3/5

But neither gives you an explicit formula for small, but it is a relationship. The fact that equality is achieved when both are zero is also true, but it does not solve the question. I don't think there's a good answer to this question.
