50 points i need to know how to plot these
svetlana [45]

x is time and y is pencils that you have

'starts with 90' so at x=0, plot y=90

'gives away 15 every hour' so for every 1 hour, move 15 down on y

so at x=1, do 90-15=75 pencils

at x=2, do 75-15=60 pencils

etc

until you get to

x=6, do 15-15=0 pencils then stop because you can't give away 15 pencils when you have 0

see attachment for plot

I don't know how your segment tool works so you do it

if it draws a line, you only need 2 points, just do when x=0, y=90 and when x=6, y=0

The ratio of oranges to apples in Helen's basket is 4:3. The basket has 12 apples in it. How many oranges are in the basket?
frez [133]

Answer:

16 oranges

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of oranges to apples is 4:3 which means that for every four oranges, there are 3 apples.

Since there are 12 apples in the basket, to find the number of oranges, set up a ratio.

4/3 = x/12 (x represents the number of oranges)

Cross multiply.

48 = 3x

Divide by 3.

x = 16

There are 16 oranges in the basket.

Hope that helps.

2<br> 2. Evaluate (a + y)+ 2y if a = 5 and y = -3.<br> F 58<br> G -2<br> H 70<br> J 10
NARA [144]
<h3>Answer:  G) -2</h3>

=======================================================

Explanation:

I'm assuming you meant to say (a+y)^2 + 2y

Replace each copy of 'a' with 5. Replace each copy of 'y' with -3. Use PEMDAS to simplify.

(a+y)^2 + 2y

(5 + (-3))^2 + 2(-3)

(5-3)^2 + 2(-3)

(2)^2 + 2(-3)

4 + 2(-3)

4 - 6

-2

So (a+y)^2 + 2y = -2 when a = 5 and y = -3.
