Hey guys ( or gals ) I have no idea what to do please help me.
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

Irrational numbers cannot be written as a fraction, or the ratio of two whole numbers.

You would have to find a GCF (greatest common factor) and multiply it out of the radical.

ex.

\sqrt{6} = 2 x 2 x 2

when you have to multiplier numbers then you can combine two of them to take outside the radical, meaning 2x2x2

2\sqrt{2\\}

so \sqrt{6} would be closest to the positive 2 on the number line and 2 notches.

\sqrt{11}

is an irrational number, so it might fall into 3.3 if turned into a decimal.

Mike is pouring a two foot cement sidewalk around the perimeter of his swimming pool. His swimming pool measures 6 feet by 14 fe
frosja888 [35]
9 inches * 1 foot / 12 inches
= 3/4 feet deep

Area of the sidewalk:
= the sides of the pool * the width of the sidewalk + the corners of the sidewalk (width * width)
= 2 sides * 6 (feet / side) * 2 feet + 2 sides * 14 (feet / side) * 2 feet + 4 corners * (2 feet * 2 feet / corner)
= 12 feet * 2 feet + 28 feet * 2 feet + 4 * 2 feet * 2 feet
= 24 feet^2 + 56 feet^2 + 16 feet^2
= 96 feet^2

Volume:
= 96 feet^2 * 3/4 feet
= (96 * 3 / 4) feet^3
= (19 * 3) feet^3
= 57 feet^3

A total of 600 advertisements were sold for a certain magazine. If 30 percent of the first 200 sold were in color, 20 percent of
solong [7]

Answer:

%35 of them were in color

Step-by-step explanation:

Since 30 percent of the first 200 sold were in color, 200x30/100 = 60 of them were in color.

Since 20 percent of the next 300 sold were in color, 300x20/100 = 60 of them were in color.

Since 90 percent of the last 100 sold were in color, 100x90/100 = 90 of them were in color.

In total, 60 + 60 + 90 = 210 out of 600 were in color.

The percentage is:  \frac{600}{100} = \frac{210}{x} → x = \frac{21000}{600} = 35
