Which is the graph of the system of inequalities
Leni [432]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Try testing each graph by picking a point on the shaded region or none shaded region.

-1/5 and 6= y-intercept

4/5 and 2= slope

You may notice that it is in y-intercept form. So to find where the shaded region goes, test a coordinate and apply it to the equation, if the answer is false, than half of the line is not where the shaded region goes.

Nonamiya [84]

The rate of the passenger train is 81.67 MPH and the rate of the freight train is 66.67 MPH.

<h3>What is a linear equation?</h3>

It is defined as the relation between two variables, if we plot the graph of the linear equation we will get a straight line.

If in the linear equation, one variable is present, then the equation is known as the linear equation in one variable.

We have:

The distance traveled by passenger train = 245 miles

The distance traveled by freight train = 245 miles

The time takes for both trains is the same.

Let's suppose the rate of the passenger train is x and the rate of the freight train is y;

As we know,

Distance = speed×time

245/x = 200/y

200x = 245y

200x - 245y = 0 ..(1)

x = 15 + y ..(2)

Equations (1) and (2) represent the situation.

After solving equations (1) and (2):

\rm x=\dfrac{245}{3}= 81.67\\\\\\\:y=\dfrac{200}{3}=66.67

Thus, the rate of the passenger train is 81.67 MPH and the rate of the freight train is 66.67 MPH.

Answer: Choice A)  8x+2 = 14x-76

==============================================================

Explanation:

Since lines A and B are parallel, this makes the corresponding angles (8x+2) and (14x-76) to be equal.

So the equation we need to solve is 8x+2 = 14x-76

If you solve that equation, you should end up with x = 13. Plugging x = 13 into either 8x+2 or 14x-76 would lead to the result of 106. So each corresponding angle is 106 degrees.
