Hi there!

no..

<u><em>1.Is 388=-388?</em></u>

no it is not...why?

388 is a positive number while -388 is the opposite of 388 which is a negative number... if it was |-388| then 388 would be equal.. |-388| means the absolute value. This means that if a negative have this, it means the opposite. If an positive have this, it stays the same..

Therefore, it would be no.

A box is filled with thirty six plates. How many boxes can be filled with a thousand plates?
Yuki888 [10]
Hello there ^ _ ^

We know that 36 plates filled 1 box
if we have 1000 plates, how many box it would fill.

All we have to do is divide 1000 by 36 to find the answer.

1000/ 36 = 27.77777 or you can just say 28

I hope this help!

Write the standard equation of a circle with center (2, −5) and radius 16.
astra-53 [7]

The standard equation of circle when center is (h,k) and radius is 'r'

\left ( x - h \right )^{2} + \left ( y - k \right )^{2} = r^{2}

h = 2 and k = - 5, radius = 16

So equation of the circle is given by

\left ( x - 2 \right )^{2} + \left ( y - (-5) \right )^{2} = 16^{2}

\left ( x - 2 \right )^{2} + \left ( y + 5) \right )^{2} = 256
