The formula to find the area of a rectangular prism is L x W x H,

or in full words Length x Width x Height.

So now lets see what the problem has given us so we can plug things in.

Width = 3

Height = 10

Wow, it gives us all of it!

So now we just have to plug these numbers into the equation and solve.

So :

Length x Width x Height

   4       x     3    x     10

Now we solve it :

4 x 3 = 12

And then we take 12 and multiply it by the last 10 in the equation.

12 x 10 = 120

And that is your answer, the volume of the rectangular prism!

Make sure to add a ³ after the 120 like so :

120³

This tiny 3 represents volume in math since the shape is 3D.

And if there are units of measurement involved like feet or inches make sure to put that in there as well like so :
