Hi there!

The answer to your question is B my explanation is below

The coordinates of the vertices of the final image will be:

A''(-6, 8), B''(-7, -2), and C''(0, -2)

Hence, option (B) is true.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the triangle with the vertices

A(-1, -8)B(-2, 2)C(5, 2)We know that when we reflect a point across the x-axis, the x-coordinate remains the same, but the y-coordinate reverses its sign.

Thus,

The rule of reflection across the x-axis:

(x, y) → (x, -y)

so

A(-1, -8) → A'(-1, -(-8)) = A'(-1, 8)

B(-2, 2) → B'(-2, -2) = B'(-2, -2)

C(5, 2) → C'(5, -2) = C'(5, -2)

Then, translate the new triangle 5 units to the left

Rule of translating 5 units to the left

(x, y) → (x-5, y)

so

A'(-1, 8) → A''(-1-5, 8) = A''(-6, 8)

B'(-2, -2) → B''(-2-5, -2) = B''(-7, -2)

C'(5, -2) → C''(5-5, -2) = C''(0, -2)

Therefore, the coordinates of the vertices of the final image will be:

A''(-6, 8), B''(-7, -2), and C''(0, -2)

Hence, option (B) is true.

Given cos theta = - 2/5 and sin theta < 0, find the six trigonometric values. I need help with this
Lena [83]

Answer:

\sin\,\theta =-\frac{\sqrt{21} }{5}

\tan\,\theta =\frac{\sqrt{21} }{2}

\sec\,\theta = \frac{-5}{2}

cosec\,\theta =\frac{-5}{\sqrt{21} }

\cot\,\theta =\frac{2}{\sqrt{21} }

Step-by-step explanation:

\cos\theta =\frac{-2}{5}

As both sin\,\theta,

\theta lies in the third quadrant.

In the third quadrant,

\sin\theta

\sin\,\theta =-\sqrt{1-\cos^2\,\theta} \\=-\sqrt{1-(\frac{-2}{5})^2 } \\\\=-\sqrt{1-\frac{4}{25} }\\\\=-\sqrt{\frac{25-4}{25} }\\\\=-\frac{\sqrt{21} }{5}

\tan\,\theta = \frac{\sin\,\theta}{\cos\,\theta }\\\\=\frac{\frac{-\sqrt{21} }{5} }{\frac{-2}{5} }\\\\=\frac{\sqrt{21} }{2}

\sec\,\theta =\frac{1}{\cos\,\theta }\\\\=\frac{1}{\frac{-2}{5} }\\\\=\frac{-5}{2}

\ cosec \,\theta = \frac{1}{sin\,\theta }\\\\=\frac{1}{\frac{-\sqrt{21} }{5} }\\\\=\frac{-5}{\sqrt{21} }

\cot\,\theta =\frac{1}{\tan\,\theta}\\\\=\frac{1}{\frac{\sqrt{21} }{2} }\\\\=\frac{2}{\sqrt{21} }

263.27 m^2

rectangle : 15 x 10 = 150 m^2
the half circle at the top has a diameter of 6m. therefore, it’s radius is 3m. if it is cut in half, the part removed from the triangle height is 3m. therefore, the height of the triangle is 35 -15 = 20; 20 - 3 = 17. the height of the triangle is 17. the triangle area formula is a = 1/2(bh).
a = 1/2 (10)(17)
a = 1/2 (170)
a = 85 m^2
the circle would be a = πr^2 but divided by 2 bc it’s a half circle
a = π(3)^2
a = π9
a = 28.27 m^2
150 + 85 + 28.27 = 263.27 m^2

(Q1) Which of the following is true about the function y = 3 • 2x?
Virty [35]

Answer: Third option

Step-by-step explanation:

You have the function:

y=3*2^x

Then, if the value of x increases by 1, you obtain:

-Rewrite the function:

y=3*2^{(x+1)}

-Substitute values for x into the function and observe what happen to y. Then:

x=1

y=3*2^{(1+1)}=12

x=2

y=3*2^{(2+1)}=24

x=3

y=3*2^{(3+1)}=48

The value of y is doubled.
