You're already given x(t)=6\cos t and y(t)=6\sin t. To find the z component, plug these into the second equation:

z=xy=36\sin t\cos t=18\sin(2t)

so we have

\vec r(t)=6\cos t\,\vec\imath+6\sin t\,\vec\jmath+18\sin(2t)\,\vec k

A line passes through (−1, 7) and (2, 10).
Murljashka [212]
The formula is y=mx+b
To get the slope or m, use this formula
(the second y minus the first y)/(the second x minus the first x)
Now set it up.
(10-7)/(2--1)
3/3=slope is 1.
y=1x+b

Insert one of the points for x and y.
i will do (-1,7)
7=1(-1)+b
7=-1+b
8=b
Insert this into the final equation:
y=1x+8

Try it out. If you're not sure, try both points. If it works, then you set it up correctly.

Katena32 [7]
The building that I would imagine would be 40 stories, about 404 feet tall perhaps. If he were to throw the donut from that distance until the ground, catching it would be impossible. So no, I am not confident in catching the donut all the way there.
