20 points <br> Match the provided functions to a graphed function with the same zero(s).
Lelechka [254]

i am working on this atm.

to solve you find the horizontal (x) intercepts.

so example graph A int is +3

then you find the equation where instead of f(x) etc, 0= the equation with the X value plugged in.

IE: 0=x^3-3x^2+x-3

would fit because when you simplify 0=0

0=3^3- 3(3^2)+3-3

0=27-27+3-3

0=0+0

0=0

it matches. so A would be the equation with f(x)

and continue in the same way

(a) An angle measures 64°. What is the measure of its complement?
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

(a) 26 degrees

(b) 35 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, therefore the complementary angle to 64 degrees would be 90 - 64, or 26 degrees.

(b) supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees, therefore the supplementary angle to 145 degrees would be 180 - 145, or 35 degrees.

The area of a triangle is 15 square inches
babunello [35]

Answer:

6 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the area of a triangle is

Area = \frac{1}{2} (bh)

b - base

h - height

the first step is to add the information that we know into the formula.

We know the area = 15 inches^{2} and the height = 5 inches

15 in^{2} = \frac{1}{2} (b)(5)

if we had both the base and the height, the next step would be to multiply

b x h then half the answer to work out the area but as we already have the area (15in^{2}) we need to work in reverse.

15 x 2 = 30

what is 5 multiplied by to get 30?

5 x ? = 30

30 ÷ 5 = 6

∴ the base = 6inches

to check if our answer is correct, we can place these numbers into the formula

A = \frac{1}{2} (6)(5)

A = \frac{1}{2} (30)   (30 ÷ 2 = 15)

A = 15in^{2}

I hope this was helpful :-)
