Kate is going to the fair with three of her friends. It will cost $5.00 to get in and an additional $2 per ride. Create an equat

ion to represent the cost for the whole group and then use the distributive property to expand the expression and solve the problem.
Expression: (4*5)+(2*5)=30
So I have the expression I just need to do the distributive property and I don't understand how to do that.

Answer:

5 * ( 4 + 2 ) = 5 * 6 = 30

Step-by-step explanation:

(5*4) + (2*5) = 20 + 10 = 30

5*4 = 4 people need to pay $5

2*5 = $2 for 5 rides

Distributive Property:

(5*4) + (2*5) = 5 * ( 4 + 2 )

5 * ( 4 + 2 ) = 5 * 6 = 30

Answer:

$40

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, so the distributive property allows us to apply a number evenly over a whole set of numbers.

Equation: 4 (2 x 5) (we distribute the 4 to all terms, since each person experiences those charges.) The answer is $40 for the whole group.

Anyone know how to do this
Anton [14]

let

(hypotenuse ) c = 10 in

(perpendicular) a = 8 in

(base) b =?

By using Pythagoras theorem

c^2= a^2+b^2

(10)^2 = (8)^2 +(b)^2

100 = 64 +(b)^2

100- 64 = (b)^2

36 = (b)^2

√36 = b

6 = b

hence b= 6 in

The answer to B and C
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
Assuming that the triangles are congruent, you can just look at the parts on each triangle to find the parts on the other triangle. The answers are yes, yes, and no. The triangles are obviously not drawn to scale, so just remember to never rely on it being so.
