Evaluate A2 for A = -3. -9 -6 6 9
schepotkina [342]
Evaluate A² for A = -3.

(-3)² = (-3) * (-3) = 9

Your answer is 9.

If the question is, however, evaluate A2, which is 2A, for A = -3, then the answer is:

2A = 2(-3) = -6.

Which equation can be represented using the number line?
kvasek [131]

Answer:

the first one : 3/4 ÷ 1/8 = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

remember, dividing something by a fraction is the same as multiplying by the upside-down fraction.

like here

3/4 ÷ 1/8 = 3/4 × 8/1 = 3×8 / 4×1 = 24/4 = 6

you can see that confirmed in the graph, where every 1/4 contains 2/8. so, 1/8 fits 6 times into 3/4.

the other answer options are simply not true

1/8 ÷ 3/4 = 6

1/8 × 4/3 = 4/24 = 1/6 <> 6

6 ÷ 3/4 = 1/8

6/1 × 4/3 = 24/3 = 8 <> 1/8

6 ÷ 1/8 = 3/4

6/1 × 8/1 = 48 <> 3/4

A. Solve the differential equation <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=y%27%3D2x%20%5Csqrt%7B1-y%5E2%7D%20" id="TexFormula1" title
kirill [66]
y' = \frac{dy}{dx}

seperable differential equations will have the form
\frac{dy}{dx} = F(x) G(y)

what you do from here is isolate all the y terms on one side and all the X terms on the other
\frac{dy}{G(y)} = F(x) dx
just divided G(y) to both sides and multiply dx to both sides

then integrate both sides
\int \frac{1}{G(y)} dy = \int F(x) dx

once you integrate, you will have a constant. use the initial value condition to solve for the constant, then try to isolate x or y if the question asks for it

In your problem,
G(y) = \sqrt{1-y^2}

F(x) = 2x

so all you need to integrate is
\int \frac{1}{\sqrt{1-y^2}} dy = \int 2x dx
