A writer would most likely use these verbs in an essay that

includes
devlian [24]

Answer:

- Future and past tenses.

Explanation:

As per the question, a writer is most likely supposed to use 'future and past tenses' in his essay as reflected by the list of words(will inflict, will petition in future and foretold and overtook in past). Past tense would assist in reporting or portraying the past events(overtook) or occurrences while the future tense would help indicate the upcoming events or effects that could come as a consequence(will inflict) or to reflect predictions(will petition) associated with an outcome. Thus, the writer seems to employ 'future and past tense' in his essay.

Marguerite is in awe of Mrs. Flowers because she sees Mrs. Flowers as larger than life. b) Mrs. Flowers remains a pillar of the
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

a) She sees Mrs. Flowers as larger than life.

Explanation:

Marguerite was the young girl in Maya Angelou's I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, which is an autobiographical account of her life. Marguerite learns from the women in her life on how to fully accept her identity as a black woman while at the same time making a life of her own. One of these women is Mrs. Bertha Flowers.

The very first description of Mrs. Flowers says it all for us. Maya states Mrs. Flowers "had the grace of control to appear warm in the coldest weather, and on the Arkansas summer days it seemed she had a private breeze which swirled around, cooling her". As we read along, Maya again declared that " she was one of the few gentlewomen I have ever known, and has remained throughout my life the measure of what a human being can be". These statements show how our narrator is in owe of the woman.
