Answer:

Biotic factor

Explanation:

Biotic factors are part of factors that determines the nature of the ecological system. They can either be living or dead organisms. Because they are considered to possess lives or had formerly existed, they are found in the biosphere and can reproduce.

Hence, to predict how the population of one species affects and is affected by the population size of another species or by its interactions with some abiotic factor, like rainfall. The ecological model uses a BIOTIC FACTOR.

This is because it is the interaction of the biotic and abiotic factors that determines the nature of the ecosystem.

Answer:

The correct answer is - develop new methods to test the hypothesis.

Explanation:

Human produce offsprings long time and development also take a long time in general and then to test a hypothesis, regarding the gene therapy helps to treat a disease, would take even more time.

So testing this hypothesis required developing a new method as other options are not possible. You can not change the time it takes in reproduction. Giving up is not the option in science.

How can scientific knowledge impact a decision about treating a disease outbreak?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

During any outbreak or whenever problems occur, there are always three major steps to take.

1. First, is the containment action. In this step, actions are taken to reduce or lessen the severity of the people affected. This aims in isolating the disease. In this step, scientific knowledge is used in making decision on what containment actions to take.

2. Second is the corrective action. This step focuses solely on formulating medicine to treat the disease. Once again scientific knowledge is used in creating those medicines.

3. Third is the preventive action. To prevent this disease outbreak from recurring, certain actions are made to ensure this does not happen again.
