  • move <em>y</em><em> </em>onto the other side so that it can be subtracted by its alike term <em>20</em>
  • when you move <em>y</em><em> </em>onto the other side it changes into positive <em>y</em>

<h3>y = 20 - 6</h3>

  • subtract <em>20</em> and <em>6</em>

<h3>y = 14</h3>
