A student decides to sort out her new study timetable. She suggests two plans however is confused about which is more efficient.

She studies for a total of 6 hours a day and has a total of 6 subjects to learn.
Plan A : Studying one chapter in one subject and then moving on to doing the same for the other 5 subjects.

Plan B : Studying three subjects in a day dividing the time into 2 hours per subject.

If she takes 3 days worth of studying (18 hours) to complete one chapter of one subject, how many days will she require to complete one chapter in each subject according to both the plans. Compare the duration required in both the cases.

Aneli [31]

Answer:

x³ + x² - 6x = 0

x(x² + x - 6) = 0

x(x² + 3x - 2x - 6) = 0

x[x(x + 3) - 2(x + 3)] = 0

x(x - 2)(x + 3) = 0

x₁ = 0

x - 2 = 0 => x₂ = 2

x + 3 = 0 => x₃ = - 3

Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

m<A = 70 deg

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the measures of the angles of a triangle is 180 deg. Add the three measures and set equal to 180. Solve for x. then use the value of x and the expression for m<A to find the measure of angle A.

m<A + m<B + m<C = 180

5x - 25 + 2x + 10 + 3x + 5 = 180

10x - 10 = 180

10x = 190

x = 19

m<A = 5x - 25 = 5(19) - 25 = 95 - 25 = 70

Answer: m<A = 70 deg
