Diffusion means going down their gradient (means going from high to low concentration). Since, there's more molecules on outside in this picture, the molecules will move down their gradient and thus go inside the cell. This happens in real life too. If you spray a perfume in one end of classroom, the gas molecules will diffuse across the room so that your friend on the other corner of classroom will be able to smell it eventually.
