Answer:

                Same number of valence electrons.

Explanation:

                         Elements in periodic table are arranged in such a way that the elements having same chemical properties lies in the same vertical columns called as groups. The reason for same chemical properties is the presence of same number of valence electrons in the valence shell.

Examples:

                 Sodium and Potassium are both Alkali Metals. They almost show same chemical properties. The electronic configuration both elements is as follow,

                                    Na  =  11  =  1s², 2s², 2p⁶, 3s¹

                             K =  19  =  1s², 2s², 2p⁶, 3s², 3p⁶, 4s¹

It is observed that in both cases the valence shells (i.e. 3rd in Na and 4rth in K) contains same number of valence electrons. Therefore, it is concluded in main group elements the family share same number of valence electrons.

While ice skating, Tabitha pushes against the wall to stretch her leg. What is the reaction force?
german
The force exterted and / or experienced by Tabitha's leg is an opposite reaction force equal to the amount of force she exerts when she pushes against the wall. This is explained further on Newton's third law of motion. Otherwise should the force she exerts on the wall overcomes the force of strength of the wall's resistance, the wall will break to the direction of tabitha's push.

What supports a white dwarf against the crush of gravity?
weqwewe [10]

Answer: In particular, electron degeneracy pressure is what supports white dwarfs against gravitational collapse, and the Chandrasekhar limit (the maximum mass a white dwarf can attain) arises naturally due to the physics of electron degeneracy.

zubka84 [21]

Answer:The direction the wave travels is parallel to the displacement of the medium.LW.

Electromagnetic waves are an example of this type of wave. TW

Sound waves are an example of this type of wave.LW

Ir the wave propagates in the x‑direction, the medium is also disturbed in the x‑direction. LW

If the wave propagates in the x‑direction, the medium is disturbed in the y‑ and/or z‑direction. TW

The direction the wave travels is perpendicular to the displacement of the medium.TW

Explanación:

the main difference of Transversal AND Longitudinal waves (TW AND LW) is that the disturbation direction in the media with respect to the travel direction is well different for both cases. For TW the perturbation oscilatiew perpendicular to propagation direction of the wave.

In constrant for LW the disturbation oscilates in the same direction as the wave is propagating.
