Answer:

9/104

Step-by-step explanation:

A bowl contains only red marbles, blue marbles and green marbles. The probability of selecting a red marble from the bowl is 3/13. The probability of selecting a blue marble from the bowl is 2/5. There are fewer than 100 marbles in the bowl. What is the probability of selecting a green marble and then a red marble from the bowl on the first two selections, assuming marbles are not returned to the bowl after being pulled?

There must be 65 marbles in the bowl because  5  and 13  have the lowest common multple  of  65....

3/13  =  15/65      and    2/5  =  26/65

So

15 are red,  26 are blue and  65 - 15 - 26  =  24 are green

So...the probability of selecting green and then red  =

(24/65) (15/64)   =   (24/64) (15/65)   =  ( 3/8) (3/13)  =     9 /  104

A box contains 16 large marbles and 18 small marbles. Each marble is either green or white. 9 of the large marbles are green, an
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

P(S&G) =0.7941

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that:

Sample size n=16+18=>34

N0 of  Large L=16

N0 of Small S=18

N0 large Green L_g=9

N0 of small White S_w=3

Therefore

Number of green marbles N0(G)=9+(18-3)

Number of green marbles N0(G)=24

Generally the Number of both small and green Marble is

N0 of (S&G)= 18 - 3 = 15

Generally the  probability that it is small or green P(S&G) is mathematically given by

P(S&G) = \frac{(18 + 24 - 15)}{(18 + 16)}

P(S&G) =0.7941

What is the equation of the line slope of 3 and passes through the point (-2, 3)?
elixir [45]

Answer:

\large\boxed{y-3=3(x+2)}\qquad\text{point-slope form}\\\boxed{y=3x+9}\qquad\text{slope-intercept form}\\\boxed{3x-y=-9}\qquad\text{standard form}\\\boxed{3x-y+9=0}\qquad\text{general form}

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We have the slope m = 3 and the point (-2, 3). Substitute:

y-3=3(x-(-2))\\\\y-3=3(x+2)

the point-slope form

y-3=3(x+2)        <em>use the distributive property</em>

y-3=3x+6           <em>add 3 to both sides</em>

y=3x+9

the slope-intercept form

y=3x+9           <em>subtract 3x from both sides</em>

-3x+y=9         <em>change the signs</em>

3x-y=-9

the standard form

3x-y=-9              <em>add 9 to both sides</em>

3x-y+9=0

the general form

stich3 [128]

Answer:   -4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

you can use slope formula to solve this question. (Y1-Y2)/(X1-X2). So the answer to this question should be (0-4)/(5-0)=  -4/5
