Perimeter of a rectangle,

Pr = 2L+ 2W

L = (W + 14)

Pr = 2(W+14) + 2W

Pr= 2W + 28 +2W

Pr =96 = 4W + 28

Pr = (96 — 28) = 4W

Pr = 68 = 4W

W = 68/4 = 17m, L= 17+14 = 31m

Check:

17m+17m+31m+31m= 96m

Answer:

width = 17 m ; length = 31 m

Step-by-step explanation:

w = width

l = length

perimeter of a rectangle = (length + width) * 2

l = 14 + w

(14 + w + w) * 2 = 96

(14 + 2w) * 2 = 96

28 + 4w = 96

4w = 68

w = 17 m

l = 14 + 17 = 31 m
