1.5.2. You have a six-sided die that you roll once. Let Ri denote the event that the roll is i. Let Gj denote the event that the

roll is greater than j. Let E denote the event that the roll of the die is evennumbered. (a) What is PR3 jG1 , the conditional probability that 3 is rolled given that the roll is greater than 1

Answer:

What is PR3 jG1 , the conditional probability that 3 is rolled given that the roll is greater than 1

                            =0,02

Step-by-step explanation:

Sample Space for rolling a die, S(1,2,3,4,5,6]

Since all the outcomes are equally P( rolling any numebre)=1/6

G1=(2,3,4,5,6)

Hence P(G1) =P (R2)+P (R3)+P (R4)+P (R5)+P (R6)

Hence P(G1) =5/6

and R3= [3]

Hence G1  ∩ R3 =  [3]  =  R3

Hence P(G1  ∩ R3) =P( R3) =1/6

What is PR3 jG1 , the conditional probability that 3 is rolled given that the roll is greater than 1

P(G1  ∩ R3) / P(G1) = (1/6)/ (5/6=

                             =0,02

The circle given by : x^2 + y^2 - 6y - 12 = 0 can be written as:
deff fn [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation of circle is,

{x}^{2} + {y}^{2} - 6y - 12 = 0 \\ by \: compairing \: it \: with \: \\ {x}^{2} + {y}^{2} + 2gx + 2fy = 0 \: we \: get \\2 g = 0 \: or \: g = 0 \\ 2f= - 6 \\ or \: f= - 3 \\ c = - 12

again the another form of circle is,

{x}^{2} + {(y - k)}^{2} = 21 \\ or \: {x}^{2} + {y}^{2} - 2ky + {k}^{2} - 21 = 0 \\ by \: compairing \:it \: with \: \\ {x}^{2} + {y}^{2} + 2gx + 2fy = 0 \: we \: get \\ g = 0 \\f = - k \\ c = {k}^{2} - 21

now equating the values of f in both equations,

-k=-3

i.e. k=3

therefore k=3

.<br> Simplify the expression.<br><br> (7 – c)(–1)
Ganezh [65]
For this, you use the Law of Distribution and multiply -1 by all terms in the parentheses. 7 • -1 = -7; -c • -1 = c. Then you combine them, but since c is a variable, -7 + c is the most simplified it can get. I hope this helped!

5 over 10 and blank over 100 what’s the faction
uysha [10]

Answer:

50/100

Step-by-step explanation:

So 5/10 is 1/2 and I believe you are implying these are equivalent fractions, so you would have to find half of 100, which is 50.

Hope this helps :)
