Answer:

9.3 x 8.5 = 79.05

7.6 x 2.4 = 18.24

an easier way to multiply decimals is to take away decimals and add later

example: 9.<u>3</u>x8.<u>5</u> > 93x85 = 7905 since there are two places behind the decimal add that many to the solution 7905 > 79.05

What is 2.6 as a mixed number in simplest form?
Stolb23 [73]
So .6 is essientaly 6 over 10. A mixed number is an integer (whole number) with a fraction. So, you take the 2 and combine it with the 6 over 10. However, it asks for it in simpliest form. Therefore, you recongnize you can divide the 6 and 10 by 2. Your final answer should be 2 and 3 over 5.

If on the unit circle C , the distance from P (1, 0) to the point T ( 5/13, 12/13 ) is x , determine the coordinates of the poin
Lorico [155]

Answer:

T' (\frac{5}{13},- \frac{12}{13})

Step-by-step explanation:

See the diagram attached.

This is a unit circle having a radius (r) = 1 unit.

So, the length of the circumference of the circle will be 2πr = 2π units.

Now, the point on the circle at a distance of x along the arc from P is T(\frac{5}{13},\frac{12}{13}).

Therefore, the point on the circle at a distance of 2π - x along the arc from P will be T' (\frac{5}{13},- \frac{12}{13}), where, T' is the image of point T, when reflected over the x-axis. (Answer)

What is the value of x in the figure below? If necessary round your answer to the nearest tenth of a unit
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle ADC and Triangle BDA are similar. <em>So, we can setup ratios to solve for x.</em>

<em>Similar triangles has corresponding lengths proportional.</em>

<em />

From Triangle ADC, CD corresponds to DA, so

From Triangle BDA, AD corresponds to DB.

<em>Now we can write ratios as:</em>

<em>\frac{CD}{DA}=\frac{AD}{DB}\\\frac{15}{x}=\frac{x}{4}\\x*x=15*4\\x^2=60\\x=\sqrt{60} \\x=7.75</em>

<em />

<em>rounding to nearest tenth, 7.7</em>

correct answer is A

What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (6,3) has a slope of -1/3
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

y = -1/3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b

so y = 3, x = 6, m = -1/3

then 3 = (-1/3)6 + b

3 = -2 + b

b = 5

so y = -1/3x + 5
