Answer:

9.3 x 8.5 = 79.05

7.6 x 2.4 = 18.24

an easier way to multiply decimals is to take away decimals and add later

example: 9.3x8.5 > 93x85 = 7905 since there are two places behind the decimal add that many to the solution 7905 > 79.05

The sales price of an LCD TV is $280, representing 30% off the regular price. What is the original price?
musickatia [10]

Answer:

$400

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 'p' represent the original price, the 'p-0.3p' represents the sale price:

280 = p - 0.3p .

Solving for 'p' we have p=400.

The original price of the television was $400

tiny-mole [99]

Answer: 4 pizzas

Step-by-step explanation:

There are to be 12 people at the party.

Each person is expected to take 1/3 of a pizza.

The total number of pizza needed is therefore:

= No. of people * quantity of pizza

= 12 * 1/3

= 4 pizzas

Note: Answer would be 6 if each guest wanted 1/2 of a pizza.
