Answer:

The primary compromises made during the convention were, the Three-Fifths Compromise, the Commerce and Slave Trade Compromise, and the Great Compromise. Boasting about twenty percent of the U.S. citizen population in 1787, slaves were a noticeable presence, and a critical subject of discussion for the delegates of the Constitutional Convention.

Why is it important that we understand the structure and function of government
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

The study of governmental structures must be approached with great caution, for political systems having the same kind of legal arrangements and using the same type of governmental machinery often function very differently. A parliament, for example, may be an important and effective part of a political system; or it may be no more than an institutional facade of little practical significance. A constitution may provide the framework within which the political life of a state is conducted; or it may be no more than a piece of paper, its provisions bearing almost no relationship to the facts of political life. Political systems must never be classified in terms of their legal structures alone: the fact that two states have similar constitutions with similar institutional provisions

hope this helps :D

What are the two prevailing views on wht parties formed in the early republic
sdas [7]

The development of the political parties formed in the early republican can be attributed to the rivalry between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.

Jefferson was a strong anti-federalist and would help to develop the Democratic-Republican party. Jefferson's focus on a small central government, states rights, and developing a nation based on independent farmers was a message that spoke to many rural communities.

On the other hand, there was Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton favored a strong central government, the development of an industrialized economy, and a loose interpretation of the US Constitution. Hamilton was supported by Northern merchants and wealthy elites, especially in the Northeast.

These two vastly different goals for America helped to spark the Federalist and Democratic-Republican parties in the United States during the early Republic.
