Read the following selection and answer the question. On a September day in 1999, people began to notice that Lake Jackson in th

e Panhandle region of northern Florida was shrinking. Within a few days, it was almost gone. A sinkhole had opened beneath the lake and drained it, along with all of its inhabitants including fish and alligators. As aquifers lose water, rock and soil layers can become weaker and less capable of supporting overlying layers of earth and any human structures built upon them. In such cases, the land surface above may subside, or sink. Sometimes subsidence can occur locally and suddenly in the form of sinkholes, which are areas where the ground gives way with little warning. Once the ground subsides, soil becomes compacted, losing the porosity that enabled it to hold water. Recharging a depleted aquifer may therefore become more difficult. Sinkholes occur when?

Answer:

Sinkholes occur when water from the groundwater has been removed in excess.

Explanation:

Sinkholes are empty spaces in the ground that occur due to the landslide of large volumes of land, creating craters of different sizes. This landslide takes with it everything that is on top of it, such as houses, animals, streets and even entire buildings. While these holes can occur due to engineering flaws, the most common reason is the excessive use of groundwater, which creates an empty space in the interior of the soil and causes the earth to sag.

The alleles for human blood types A and B are co-dominant but both are dominant over the type O allele. The Rh factor is separat
igomit [66]
We can obtain a prediction of the children's blood using the method of punnet squares, like a game of tic-tac-toe. We first give use the assumptions that the woman with type O is OO and the man is AO, since A is dominant. With the first punnet squares, there will be a 50-50 percent chance that the child could be AO or OO.

Now for the Rh negative and positive, we still use the punnet squares as basis for prediction and tying them together to form independent segregation.

The end result would be a child having type A with either Rh positive or Rh negative and a child with type O and having either Rh positive or Rh negative.

Bird guides once listed the myrtle warbler and Audubon's warbler as distinct species Recently, these birds have been reclassifie
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The two forms interbreed and their offspring survive and reproduce well.

Explanation:

When talking about classification of species, one of the first features observed is the species fitness, which describes the reproductive success or their ability to leave to their successive generations the most copies of their genotype. When different species that were recently divided into 2, by geographic isolation, for instance, usually there is no genetic compatibility, and if its possible to produce offspring, there might be some development issues like infertility.
