We know that there are 15 children altogether

We know that the number that voted for B+R is double the number of students voted for G+Y

B+R = 2(G+Y)

Think of two numbers that add up to 15, one number is twice of the other number.

For example, 6 and 12.
12 is double of 6 but 6 + 12 doesn't give 15

So, think again

for example 5 and 10
10 is double of 5 and 5+10 does give 15

So, the number that voted Red and Blue is 10 and the number that voted Yellow and Green is 5

The size of a television is given by the length of its diagonal. What is the size
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

it is A. 60 in

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to use the Pythagorean theorem for this. Take the square root of (48^2 + 36^2). This will give you the length of the diagonal.

48^2 + 36^2 = 3600

Remember we need to take the square root of 3600, which is just 60.

The length of the diagonal is 60 inches.

What is a 15 of the sequence -7, 2, 11, ...?

A. 128
B. 110
C. 136
D. 119
gregori [183]

Answer:

D. 119

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the common difference, we take the second term and subtract the first term

2-(-7) = 9

We check by taking the third term and subtracting the second

11-2 = 9

The common difference is 9

The formula for an arithmetic sequence is

an = a1 +d(n-1)

where a1 is the first term, d is the common difference and n is the number of the term in the sequence

a1=-7, d=9 and we are looking for the 15th term so n=15

a15 = -7 +9(15-1)

a15 = -7+9(14)

      =-7 +126

      = 119
