I'm not sure if you're asking for the whole shape or one of them but, for the whole shape you just.

7.1 x 5.8 = 41.18cm2 = 41.2cm2.

for the right angle, it's =

c2- b2 = a2
7.1cm2 - 6.5cm2 = a2
50.41 - 42.25 = a2.
a2= 7.89
=
square root = 7.89 = 2.808cm2 = 2.81cm2

then the other shape would be -
5.8 - 2.81= 2.99.
=
5.8 x 2.99 = 17.342cm2
+
5.8 x 6.5 = 37.7cm2
=
55.042cm2
=
55.0 cm 2

ABCD is a trapezoid with AD = 5 ft, DC = 7 ft, and AB = 15 ft. Find the area of the trapezoid. 30 ft2 33 ft2 44 ft2 55 ft2
Nataly_w [17]

Answer: 33 ft².

Step-by-step explanation:

1. As you can see in the figure attached, the trapezoid is formed by a rectangle and two equal right triangles. The base of each triangle is 4 feet and you know the lenght of the hypotenuse AD, therefore, you can calculate the height by applying the Pythagorean Theorem:

h=\sqrt{(5ft)^{2}-(4ft)^{2}}=3ft

2. Now, you can calculate the area with the following formula:

A=(\frac{B+b}{2})h

Where <em>B</em> is the longer base,<em> b</em> is the shorter base and <em>h</em> is the height.

Then:

A=(\frac{15ft+7ft}{2})(3ft)=33ft^{2}

One factor of f (x ) = 5 x cubed + 5 x squared minus 170 x + 280 is (x + 7). What are all the roots of the function? Use the Rem
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

The roots of the function f(x) = 5x³ + 5x² - 170x + 280 are given by x = 4, x = 2 or x = -7

<h3>What is an equation?</h3>

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more numbers and variables.

Given that x + 7 is the root of 5x³ + 5x² - 170x + 280, hence:

(5x³ + 5x² - 170x + 280) / (x + 7) = 5x² - 30x - 40

Hence:

(5x³ + 5x² - 170x + 280) = (x + 7)(5x² - 30x - 40)

= 5(x² - 6x - 8)(x + 7)

= 5(x - 4)(x - 2)(x + 7)

The roots are at:

0 = 5(x - 4)(x - 2)(x + 7)

x = 4, x = 2 or x = -7

The roots of 5x³ + 5x² - 170x + 280 are x = 4, x = 2 or x = -7
