Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
The United Nations Conventions on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) declares that seabed area, which does not fall under the jurisdiction of a particular country, is a common natural heritage. The minerals of this area can be usd by anyone. Due to vast presence of sea area, and conflicting boundaries, as well as illegal mininig practices, the imposition of such laws is difficult. The very large sea areas which should not be mined, should be restrained under non mining region. But, mineral-greedy nations are not following such instructions.
The envrionmental implications of ilegal seabed mining includes, destabilisation of oceanic systems, effect on microbial systems of the sea, and danger to the creatures living in the hydrothermal vents, which are not used to light exposure.

A team of scientists is researching the best way to use tides to produce energy.
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

oceanography

environmental science

Explanation:

Oceanographers who have an all-around study of the oceans ( including marine science, geology, plate tectonics, ocean current circulation) are well suited to ascertain how best to harness tide energy to produce power. On the other hand, environmental scientists will ensure that during this process, the environmental impact of the project is well understood to protect the marine environment. An environmental scientist will, for example, ensure the protection  of turtle breeding sites on the shores.

Hope this helps

How your innate immunity protects you from the pathogens you encounter.
adell [148]

Answer:

The innate immunity in living organisms protects them from the pathogens they encounter daily.

Explanation:

Pathogens are organisms such as virus, fungi, bacteria, protozoa, worms that causes diseases to its host.

For example, Avian flu is a strain or variant of the Influenza virus which predominantly causes a disease in birds such as chickens. The virus responsible for the Avian flu can be passed from birds to humans; when anyone comes in contact with a bird that is carrying the virus i.e a sick bird with Avian flu.

Homeostasis can be defined as a process through which a living organism maintains a steady or stable physical, internal and chemical environment ideal to enhance life and proper functionality.

Also, immunization can be defined as the process of boosting an individual's immunity or immune system against antigens (immunogen) which cause diseases by the administration of vaccines.

Basically, immunization helps to improve the functions of the antibodies, B cells, T cells etc.

If a person becomes infected with a pathogen, such as a virus. The internal stimulus that mainly takes place in order for their body to maintain homeostasis is that their core temperature increases. This is because pathogens such as a virus do not thrive or survive in a hot environment; they're naturally allergic to high temperature (heat).
