The liver and pancreas both produce and secretes the enzymes and bile to breakdown the food into nutrients. Bile digests the fat while enzymes of the pancreas break down protein, carbohydrates, and fats.
The liver helps in absorbing the fats and some vitamins and minerals to the bloodstream from the nutrient from digested food. They also help in the removal of toxins and wastes from the digested food or the waste products of breaking down into nutrients through the feces or filtered from the blood by the kidneys.
