I beleive that the way to figure this out is since 20 time 5 is 100 you will just need to time 815 times 20 and you should get the total amount of money you made that year so your answer would be 16,300 I hope that helps ^-^

If Y varies directly with X solve the following :
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

a) x = -270

b) y = 304/9 or y = 33.78

c) x = -37.8

Step-by-step explanation:

y varies directly with x so y = kx

a)

y = kx

k = y/x

k = 10/-30 = -1/3

So

y = -1/3 x

If y = 90 then

90 = -1/3 x

x = 90 *(-3) = -270

b)

k = y/x

k = -19/-4.5

k = 38/9

So

y = 38/9 x

If x = - 8 then

y = 38/9 *(-8)

y = 304/9 or y = 33.78

c)

k = y/x

k = -4.3 / 12.9

k = - 1/3

So

y = -1/3 x

If y = 12.6 then

12.6 = -1/3 x

x = 12.6 *(-3)

x = -37.8

If sirius rises at 8:00 pm tonight, at what time will it rise tomorrow night, to the nearest minute?
madam [21]
We know that
The Sun makes a complete circle in the sky approximately every 24 hours, while the stars make a complete circle in the sky in 4 minutes less time, or 23 hours and 56 minutes

Sirius is a star
so
If Sirius rises at 8:00 pm tonight
then
tomorrow will it rise at ------> 8:00 pm -4 minutes----> 7:56 pm

the answer is
7:56 pm

100 students are interviewed to see which of biology, chemistry or physics they prefer.
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

43% of the students prefer biology

Step-by-step explanation:

Among girls:

39 of the students are girls.

21 of the girls like biology best.

Boys:

100 - 39 = 61 are boys.

16 prefer physics

11 out of the 34 who prefer chemistry are girls, so 34 - 11 = 23 are boys.

61 - (16 + 23) = 22 prefer biology.

What percentage of the students prefer biology?

21 boys and 22 boys, that is, 43 students out of 100. So

43*100%/100 = 43%

43% of the students prefer biology
