Answer:

A. 500 = 180 + 15x

So Ms.Douglas has a budget of $500 and she is going to spend $180 going to and from school on a bus. 180 is your constant. It is $15 per person to enter the gate of the amusement park and 15 is your variable.

So 500 = 180 +15x

Step-by-step explanation:

B. 500 = 180 + 15x

320 = 15x

x = 21.333333

but since we are talking about people here Ms.Douglas can only take 21 people

I hope this helps

Answer:

A) 180+15x=500

B) 21 people.

Step-by-step explanation:

$180

so 500-180 is 320.

320/15 is 21 1/3

So, Ms. Douglas can take 20 students and herself :)

Part A:

180+15x=500

180-180+15x=500

15x=320

x=21 1/3, so Ms. Douglas can afford to take 21 people,, but one of them is herself.

Hope this helps pls hit the crown :D

How can you use division to find the decimal equivalent of a rational number ?
Naily [24]

Answer:

Rational numbers' decimal representations either finish or repeat a pattern. Divide the top by the bottom, the numerator by the denominator to convert fractions to decimals, and if the division doesn't come out evenly, round off after a specific number of decimal places.

Solve photo question. Mathematics. Please. Easy one. And last one.
Elan Coil [88]
A collection of nickels and dimes is worth $4.40. There are 53 coins in all. How many nickels are there?

Nickel is a US coin worth 5 cents or 0.05.
Dime is a US coin worth 10 cents or 0.10

n + d = 53
0.05n + 0.10d = 4.40

n = 53 - d
0.05(53 - d) + 0.10d = 4.40
2.65 - 0.05d + 0.10d = 4.40
0.05d = 4.40 - 2.65
0.05d = 1.75
d = 1.75 / 0.05
d = 35

n = 53 - d
n = 53 - 35
n = 18

There are 18 nickels and 35 dimes.

0.05n + 0.10d = 4.40
0.05(18) + 0.10(35) = 4.40
0.90 + 3.5 = 4.40
4.40 = 4.40

a sandwich shop has 60 stores and 70 percent of the stores are I California. How many stores are in California and Nevada
Aliun [14]

Answer:

The number of stores in California 42

The number of stores in Nevada 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The total sandwich shop in California and Nevada = 60

The percentage of shop in California = 70%

So, The percentage of shop in Nevada = 100% - 70% = 30%

Let The number of stores in California = c

And The number of stores in Nevada = n

Now, According to question

The number of stores in California = 70% of the total number of shops

I.e c = \frac{70}{100} ×  total number of shops

Or, c =  \frac{70}{100} × 60

∴   c = \frac{70\times 60}{100}

or, c =   \frac{4200}{100}

or, c = 42

So, The number of stores in California = c =42

Again

The number of stores in Nevada = 30% of the total number of shops

I.e n = \frac{30}{100} ×  total number of shops

Or, n =  \frac{30}{100} × 60

∴   n = \frac{30\times 60}{100}

or, n =   \frac{1800}{100}

or, n = 18

So, The number of stores in Nevada = n = 18

Hence The number of stores in California 42

And The number of stores in Nevada 18   Answer

The formula for estimating the number, N, of a certain product sold is N = 8800ln(7t + 9), where t is the number of years after
arsen [322]
To determine or predict the expected number of sales after 2 years, we substitute 2 to the t of the givne equation.
                           N = (8800)xln(7(2) + 9)
                                N = 27,592.34
Thus, it is expected that the number of sales after 2 years is 27,592 units.
