An upper quartile is the range of numbers above the median in a set. Thus, the numbers have to be rearranged mentally or on paper. Fortunately, there are an odd set of numbers, so one number, 25, is the median. The upper quartile is 30, 35, 40, 45.

an automobile 16 feet long overtakes a truck that is 28 feet long and is traveling 30 mph. At what rate must the automobile trav
Oduvanchick [21]

Automobile must travel at 96 mph to pass the truck in 4 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of  automobile = 16 feet = 4.88 m

Length of truck = 28 feet = 8.53 m

Speed of truck = 30 mph = 48 km/h = 13.33 m/s

Time in which automobile to pass truck = 4 s

Distance traveled by truck in 4 seconds = 4 x 13.33 = 53.33 m

Distance which need to cover by automobile in 4 seconds to pass truck is the sum of length of automobile, length of truck and distance traveled by truck in 4 seconds.

Distance which need to cover by automobile in 4 seconds = 4.88 + 8.53 + 53.33

Distance which need to cover by automobile in 4 seconds = 66.74 m

Distance = Speed x Time

66.74 = Speed x 4

Speed = 16.69 m/s = 60 km/h = 96 mph

Automobile must travel at 96 mph to pass the truck in 4 seconds.

Factor the following using GCF and show work. 6x^2+42x-18
aniked [119]
The greatest common factor is 6. Thus means we divide every part of the expression by 6.

6x^2/6 = x^2
42x/6 = 7x
-18/6 = -3

Your new expression is 6(x^2 + 7x -3).

I round to 900 I have twice as many hundreds as ones and all my digits are different but their sums are 18 can someone answer th
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The number of once is 9.1

The number of hundreds is 8.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The total of digits having ones and hundreds = 900

The sum of digits = 18

Let The number of ones digit = O

And The number of hundreds digit = H

So, According to question

H + O = 18             .........1

100 × H + 1 × O = 900          ........2

Solving the equation

( 100 × H - H ) + ( O - O ) = 900 - 18

Or, 99 H + 0 = 882

Or , 99 H = 882

∴   H = \frac{882}{99}

I.e H = 8.9

Put the value of H in eq 1

So, O = 18 - H

I.e  O = 18 - 8.9

∴    O = 9.1

So, number of once = 9.1

number of hundreds = 8.9

Hence The number of once is 9.1 and The number of hundreds is 8.9
