Answer:

For Desssert: C

For Taiga: A

For Tropical Rainforest: B

Explanation: Because desserts are very hot, we know that there aren't much plants due to the lack of rain/water, they're dry. Rainforests have lots of plants, so it's not B, and since the dessert is high temperature, A is obviously off the list.

Taiga is cold so it won't be good for soil and the plants won't grow as good as the wet rainforest so we can pick A. Then B for #2

What type of ions carry the impulse across the synapse from one neuron to the next ?
grandymaker [24]

It's the sodium ion.

When a neural impulse is fired in both neurons, it is always cause by an excited electron in one neuron moving to the other neuron to destabilize the balance of ions trying to keep them at equilibrium. This action either depolarizes or hyper-polarizes the membrane. If it does, then sodium ions--the key deficient ones--can flow into that region of low charge and maintain that state of low charge, keeping the cell membrane stable.

Explain how the process of distillation illustrates the relationship between matter and energy
allsm [11]
Distillation involves boiling of a liquid until it turns to gas, leaving behind impurities which can not vapourise. The vapors will then be re condense to form the original liquid. The process of distillation illustrates the relationship between matter and energy because is show that matter changes state when enough energy is applied in the form of heat. When this heat is removed, then matter will return to its original state.
