Answer:

- Members of both groups were captured under the Fugitive Slave Law.

Explanation:

The above statement correctly outlines the impact of the settlement of 1850 made between freedmen and the runaway slaves. At the time of the Mexican-American War, this agreement controlled the position of both and they both were entitled to additional rights. However, slavery was terminated in Washington D.C. and California became a part of the Union as a liberal state but the 'Fugitive Slave Act' declared that all the slaves must be returned back to their masters and compelled the free states' people to cooperate in it. This led to capturing of both the freedmen, as well as, the slaves.

Was “Trustee Georgia” successful as a colony? Explain
Novosadov [1.4K]

end of trustee rule

In March 1750 the Trustees called upon Georgians to elect delegates to the first representative assembly but cautioned them only to advise the Trustees, not to legislate. Augusta and Ebenezer each had two delegates, Savannah had four, and every other town and village had one. Frederica, now practically abandoned, sent no delegate. Sixteen representatives met in Savannah on January 14, 1751, and elected Francis Harris speaker. Most of the resolutions concerned improving trade. The delegates showed maturity in requesting the right to enact local legislation, and they opposed any annexation effort on the part of South Carolina. The Trustees intended to permit further assemblies, but the failure of Parliament to vote a subsidy in 1751 caused the Trustees to enter into negotiations to turn the colony over to the government a year before the charter expired. Only four members of the Trust attended the last meeting on June 23, 1752, and of the original Trustees only James Vernon persevered to the end.

Gerard is a genetic counselor. Which statement should he make to a couple that has a child with cystic fibrosis and is consideri
Ainat [17]

Answer: The odds of your next child having the disease are 1 in 4.

Explanation:

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an incredibly life-shortening disease, though some individuals live to their thirties. The counsellor should ensure to educate the couple on the challenges of managing a child with cystic fibrosis. There are tests they can take during the first trimester or second trimesters of pregnancy to find out if a fetus will have the illness. The counselor should let the couple know that their decision to have a test and to go forward with any pregnancy is up to them.
