The gender gap in career attainment is partially accounted for by

The gender gap in career attainment is partially accounted for by women themselves.

In our general perception, woman are thought to be lesser than men. It is generalized that women can't do everything that men can easily do. Women in our societies are raised in such environment. They think themselves less significant than men. They don't consider their achievements worthy enough to be proud of. That creates a gender gap in career attainment.

Indeed there are certain tasks that can be done by men only, like digging, mining, or any task involving hard physical movements. But it does not mean that women are minor than men. There are certain areas where women are more efficient in their work.

So we need to shorten or remove this self created gap by women. Women should not underestimate their achievements.

The gender gap in career attainment is partially accounted for by women underestimation of their own achievement, and although that today has changed considerably, women still have a tendency to exclude themselves from certain careers or situations, out of fear or distrust, and more so if they come from Latin, Asian or Middle Eastern countries.

When children grow up and leave home, mothers most frequently report feeling?
wariber [46]
Contrary to popular belief, when children leave their home where they grew up, their mothers usually feel happy.
This is not to be taken negatively though - they are not happy to kick out their children out of the house after so many years. They are happy that their children have grown up, can take care of themselves and perhaps start their own families. Also, they might be happy to finally have some time for themselves, to focus on their own interests which may have been put aside.

If approached on the street by a stranger and asked to make a guess about their iq score, your best guess would be:________
Sauron [17]

The correct answer is 100.

Since intelligence is regularly distributed with an average IQ of 100, and we don't know anything about this stranger, our best bet would be to rely on the bell curve.

What is the relationship between the bell curve and intelligence testing?

Intelligence test results follow a bell curve. When employed in psychological testing, the bell curve depicts a normal distribution of a trait.

Standardized IQ tests are developed so that their scores in the general population follow a 'bell curve' distribution with an average of 100.

This curve has a peak where most individuals score in the middle and a taper where just a few people score at the ends. The majority of the scores are recorded during the "bell's" peak. The bell then slopes down to each side, with one side reflecting scores that are higher than average and the other side representing scores that are lower than normal.
