<span>When a scientist needs to <u>observe </u>they make observations. Observing is a fundamental part of scientific investigation. Observations of natural phenomenon lead scientists to ask questions, research and form a hypothesis. When the scientist sets up experiments to teat out their hypothesis again the scientists must use their observation skills to monitor their test and make sure there are no mistakes.</span>

Research- Information you gather to help you come to a prediction
HYPOTHESIS- A prediction about what the experiment will show

Organization- Putting your data from the experiment into a table or graph so that it is easy to understand
Summary- Generally a few sentences, an overall summary of what happened in the experiment including the "befores," "durings," and "afters."
Distribution- Making your information public so that other scientists can use it for research.
