olchik [2.2K]
Hey there! :D

3,942,588

The thousandths is where the 2 is.

If the number behind the 2 is 5 or greater, we round up to 3.

It is, so round up:

3,943,000 <== rounded number

I hope this helps!

PLEASE HELP ME WITH IT.
scoundrel [369]

OK.  I did it.  Now let's see if I can go through it without
getting too complicated.

I think the key to the whole thing is this fact:

     A radius drawn perpendicular to a chord bisects the chord.

That tells us several things:

-- OM bisects AB.
   'M' is the midpoint of AB.
   AM is half of AB.

-- ON bisects AC.
    'N' is the midpoint of AC.
   AN is half of AC.

--  Since AC is half of AB,
     AN is half of AM.
     a = b/2

Now look at the right triangle inside the rectangle.
'r' is the hypotenuse, so

                                            a² + b² = r²

But  a = b/2, so             (b/2)² + b² = r²

(b/2)² = b²/4                   b²/4   + b² = r²

Multiply each side by 4:     b² + 4b² = 4r²
                                       -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -
                                            0  + 5b² = 4r²
Repeat the
original equation:                a² +  b² =  r²

Subtract the last
two equations:                  -a² + 4b² = 3r²

Add  a²  to each side:              4b²  =  a² + 3r² .    <=== ! ! !

the sum of the measure of the interior angles of a hexagon is 720°. the measure of the angles of a particular hexagon are in the
suter [353]
So the ratios are 4 to 5 to 5 to 8 to 9 to 9
that means that the first 2 sides can be simplified to 4 to 5
therefor the whle sum is all the units added up
4+5+5+8+9+9=40

720=40 units
divide by 40
18=1 unit
solve for each unit
we have
4 units
5 units
8 units
9 units

4 times 18=72
5 times 18=90
8 times 18=144
9 times 18=152

the angles are
72,90,90,144,152,152
