Answer:

-8 taxonomic levels: Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species

- 6 kingdoms: Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Protist, Fungi, Plantae, Animalia.

Explanation:

Taxonomy is the study of different organisms, their classification into categories according to their morphological and molecular characteristics and their evolutionary relationships, and assigning to each them a binomial name.

The categories where organisms are classified into are:

 • Domains are the highest taxonomic category in which living beings can be grouped or divided. There are three domains: archaea, bacteria, and eukarya.

- The archaea domain is composed of prokaryotic unicellular microorganisms that lack a nucleus, nuclear membrane, and organelles, but they have a cell wall that protects the cell. These organisms are capable of inhabiting in places with extreme temperature, salinity, acidity, or pH, among others. They reproduce asexually.

- The bacteria domain is composed of a wide group of unicellular prokaryotic microorganisms with a simple structure and sized between 1 to 10 micrometers. These organisms lack a nucleus, nuclear membrane, and organelles. They only present plasmids and ribosomes. They have a cell membrane and a cell wall that protects the cell. Some of them can also present a capsule. They reproduce asexually.

- The eukarya domain is composed of all the unicellular or pluricellular organisms that have eukaryotic cells that characterize by having a well-defined nucleus surrounded by a complex biological membrane. They also present organelles delimitated by membranes. These organisms reproduce asexually and sexually.

 • Kingdom: Includes different phyla closely relates. The bacteria domain includes the Eubacteria kingdom. The archaea domain includes the archaebacteria kingdom. Finally, the eukarya domain is divided into four kingdoms: Protist, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia.
 • Phylum: Includes different classes closely related.
 • Class: Includes different orders closely relates.
 • Order: Includes different families closely related
 • Family: Includes different genera closely relates
 • Genus: Includes many species.

Which of the following activities can be shown to increase resistance among microbial populations?
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

Taking antibacterial drugs for viral infections

Explanation

This is called a misuse of antibacterials also popular known as antibiotics. This results in an increased chance of bacteria developing mutations against the antibacterial hence rendering the drugs ineffective in treatment. They also form the risk of causing dangerous mutations that turn harmless bacteria into harmful bacteria.

Frank has Klinefelter syndrome (47, XXY). His mother has normal skin, but his father has anhidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, an X-l
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

b. Frank received the mutant chromosome from his father. Nondisjunction occurred in his father during the first meiotic division.

Explanation:

As you can see in the question above, Frank has Klinefelter syndrome which causes him to have normal skin patches and skin patches without sweat glands. Her mother has completely normal hair, which may indicate that the defective gene was not supplied by her. In addition, Frank's father has anhydrotic ectodermal dysplasia, an X-linked condition where the skin does not contain sweat glands.

Although Frank's father's defective gene is linked to the X chromosome, it is likely that Frank inherited the defective gene from his country. This may have occurred because during meiosis I, his father's genes did not show disjunction. As a result, Frank presents a mosaic of his phenotype, because an inactivation of the X chromosome occurred.
