You can’t really I would just draw a line showing that for every 3 blocks up it goes 1 to the side.

Answer:

Find two points on the line, then find the slope

Then using one of the two points, solve for b. (y intercept)

Step-by-step explanation:

Two points: (-3,-3) (-1,3)

3 - (-3) = 6

-1 - (-3) = 2

6/2 = 3. (slope)

y = 3x + b

Choosing (-1,3)

3 = 3(-1) + b

3 = -3 + b

6 = b

Those 2 questions I need help with . find sec θ and tanθ
Zielflug [23.3K]

STEP - BY - STEP EXPLANATION

What to find?

The the value of secθ.

Given:

(4, 3)

⇒(x, y) = (4, 3)

Step 1

Draw a sketch.

Step 2

Substitute the values into the trig. ratio formula below.

tan\theta=\frac{opposite}{adjacent}

From the sketch above, opposite = 3 and adjacent = 4

tan\theta=\frac{3}{4}

Step 3

Find the value of the hypotenuse side using Pythagoras theorem.

let h be the hypotenuse side.

\begin{gathered} h^2=4^2+3^2 \\  \\ =16+9 \\  \\ =25 \\  \\ h=5 \end{gathered}

Hence, hypotenuse = 5

Step 4

Substitute the values into the formula below:

\begin{gathered} cos\theta=\frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} \\  \\ =\frac{4}{5} \end{gathered}

But,

sec\theta=\frac{1}{cos\theta}=\frac{1}{\frac{4}{5}}=\frac{5}{4}

ANSWER

secθ= 5/4

tanθ=3/4

Bojangles has a rectangle-shaped roof with a width of 6x^2 feet and a length 12x^3. What is the area of the roof?
emmainna [20.7K]

area of rectangle = length x width

this is the formula to find it.

now , put the values of length and width,

=> area= 12 x 3 x 6 x 2

=> area =  432 feet^2

Hope this helps!

Answer:

  y = 4x + 16

Step-by-step explanation:

You can replace the point coordinates in the given point-slope form to get ...

  y - 32 = 4(x -4)

Then rearrange to put this into slope-intercept form.

  y = 4x -16 +32 . . . . eliminate parentheses, add 32

  y = 4x +16 . . . . . . . . simplify
