A nerve impulse is a way nerve cells (neurons) communicate with one another. Nerve impulses are mostly electrical signals along the dendrites to produce a nerve impulse or action potential. The action potential is the result of ions moving in and out of the cell.
A nerve impulse travels from the dendritic end towards the axonal end. The chemicals released from the axonal end of one neuron cross the synapse and generate a similar electrical impulse in a dendrite of another neuron. A neuron transmits electrical impulses not only to another neuron but also to muscle and gland cells.

How does pollution affect the amount of carcinogens in food sources such as fish?
lesantik [10]

Answer:

A carcinogen can be described as any substance which can lead to cancer.

Various types of pollution produce certain kinds of ions such as metal ions which are capable of producing cancer in humans.

Studies have shown that toxic metals from waste when disposed in lakes from industries or plant areas causes the toxic metals to get accumulated in the bodies of water animals such as the fishes. These organisms when consumed by humans can cause cancer.

Discuss three ways in which one's acceptance of responsibility can influence effective communication
krek1111 [17]
Effective communication is obviously influenced by different fators among which we can surely include acceptance of responsibility. You have to consider that when someone is taking responsibility for his actions this will make the person who he's talking to view him more favourably, as a more responsible person and perhaps even as someone who wants to sensibely solve problems.
