land grants. The land grant is </span><span>an award of real estate , a gift of land. The recipient is given this grant with the requirement
that a public purpose, as defined by legislation. The purpose of the land grand is enabling work.</span>
The Greco-Roman Legal Tradition continues to effect our society today by influencing the world with creating laws, influences on the arts, languages, architecture, infrastructure, written works, and the development and design of urban areas. Also, it helps structure democratic governments.

Picasso was likely moved by the bombing of Guernica - he was appalled by the life loss (at the time thought to be 1500, now revised to 400) and distraction and he wanted to share this with others - to move them and to make people away of the distruction connected to war and to prevent future attacks.
