.simplify<br>(2a+5)²-(a+3)(a-3)
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

3a^2 + 20a + 34

Step-by-step explanation:

(2a + 5)^2 = 4a^2 + 20a + 25

(a +3)(a - 3) = a^2 - 9

Put these two partial answers together.

4a^2 + 20a + 25 -(a^2 -9 )                 Remove the brackets.

4a^2 + 20a + 25 -  a^2 + 9

4a^2 + 20a + 25 - a^2 + 9

3a^2 + 20a + 34

If the measure of angle 1 is (3x-4)º and the measure of angle 2 is (4x+10), what is the measure of angle 2 in degrees?
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

Angle 2 measures 58°

Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of all three angles formed = 180

Because the sum of angles on a straight line is always 180

Angle 1 =3x-4

Angle 2 = 4x+10

Angle 3= 90° (given)

So,

90+3x-4+4x+10=180

(4x+3x)+(90+10-4)= 180

7x+96=180

Bring 96 to the other side, making it negative,

7x = 180-96 = 84

x = 12

Therefore angle 2

= 4x+10

= (4)(12)+10

=48+10

=58°

Which of these properties of a rigid transformation is exclusive to translations?
laila [671]

Answer:

C. All the point in the pre-image are shifted the same distance.

Step-by-step explanation:

It's not A because for example, a rotation also preserves the angles and sides.

It's not B because the points stay in the same plane for all transformations.

It.s not D -  the orientation is the same in a rotation.

How to solve this I am very confused and have a test tomorrow
Anastaziya [24]
4(x+3) = 16

First divide by 4 on both sides

x+3 = 4

Then subtract 3 from both sides

x = 1

Then check your work

4(1+3) = 16
4(4) = 16
16 = 16

Hope this helped! :)
