Under what conditions might the Justice Department approve a merger between two companies that operate in an industry with a pos
pogonyaev

Answer:

Explanation:

Overall an industry with a post merger Herfindahl-Hirschman index value of below 1500 is considered un-concentrated.In an extreme case,if the Herfindahl-Hirschman index in an industry exceeds 2900,it suggest that the industry is highly concentrated.

In that case if a merger is going to occur which is expected to raise the Herfindahl-Hirschman index by 255 points, then the FTC and DOJ might challenge a lawsuit against such merger, some other factor are also scrutinized.

This include economies of scale, economies of scopes and the ease in which there is an entry possible in the industry,The agencies like FTC and DOJ try to block horizontal merger if it expected to create unsuitable economic business environment for other firms in the industry

spayn [35]
We use analog and digital signals in our everyday lives with the radio, the cell phone and with our own computers. our computers and our cell phones are all digital now but radio's are still considered analog. Radio telescopes explore space by using radio waves and signals to almost like scan space and collect data like a sonar in a submarine.

Alchen [17]

Answer:

Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2)

Explanation:

The Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) makes some alterations to the encryption algorithm that were used in WPA and WEP to what is known as the  Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). This is a 128-bit block cipher considered to be much more difficult to crack than the usual 128-bit TKIP wrapper. However, although WPA2 offers a much more tougher encryption standard, it is important to note that it is not hack proof.

Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Open ended investigation

Explanation:

The above is an example of an open ended investigation. In understanding what an open ended investigation is, we first of all need to understand what open endedness means. Open endedness means whether one solution or answer is possible. In other words it means that there may be various ways and alternatives to solve or answer a question or bring solution to an investigation.

From the definition, we can deduce that an open ended investigation is a practical investigation that requires students to utilize procedural and substantive skills in arriving at conclusion through evidence gathered from open ended research or experiment(as in not close ended, not limited to ready made options, freedom to explore all possibilities). This is seen in the example question where students are asked to explore the different examples of physical controls and displays and also discuss their observations. Here students are not required to produce a predefined answer but are free to proffer their own solutions
