According to Kirsch, it was better to read stories as presented by Novelists that as portrayed on TV.

In recent times, however, he states that the way these stories are presented on TV via Movies, TV Series, Seasonal Movies have improved remarkably. He attributes these changes to improved directing, acting and design. He also mentions, as another contributing factor to finer TV programs, the increased depth of research (ethnography) that goes into the making of some of the prominent TV shows in recent times such as "Game of Thrones", and "Battlestar Galactica".
