If large amounts of cold water are added in the Polar regions as glaciers melt then the hot water cannot flow to the poles, the cold water will make the water very dense, which won’t allow warm upper waters to flow.

The effect it would have in the climate of my area is that it will increase the temperature of the local areas because of the rise in temperature of the surface ocean water.
