How did the outcome of King Phillip's War shape the development of New England? ​ * The Native American's victory allowed them t

o maintain the rights to their lands. Metacom's death encouraged Native Americans to continue to fight the colonists. ​ Metacom's defeat essentially marked the end of Native American resistance in the region. ​ The colonists were able to negotiate a peace with the Native Americans without violence.
