Find the equation of line that passes through the points (2.0) and (4.6). Write the equation in slope-intercept form

Answer:

y = 3x - 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (2, 0) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (4, 6)

m = \frac{6-0}{4-2} = \frac{6}{2} = 3, then

y = 3x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c, substitute either of the 2 points into the partial equation

Using (2, 0 ) , then

0 = 6 + c ⇒ c = 0 - 6 = - 6

y = 3x - 6 ← equation of line

If a number is a whole number then it is also a natural number
Step2247 [10]

This statement is not true.

If a number is whole number, it will not always be a natural number. An example of a whole number that is not a natural number is 0. Think of natural numbers as counting number so 1, 2, 3, 4, ... and so on. Whole numbers are natural numbers but they also include 0. When we count up, we usually don’t starts with 0 so it’s not a natural number but it is a whole number.

Therefore, if a number is a whole number, it does not necessarily have to be a natural number.

2.386 rounded to the nearest tenth
svetoff [14.1K]
