Answer: Eye drops are effective when it placed into the eyes with care and proper instructions.

Eye drops should be placed in the lower conjunctival sac that starts at the inner side of the eye not the outer side called as canthus.

If the eye drops are dropeed on the cornea of the eyes and this causes discomfort and hence should be avoided.

It should not be placed on the opening of the lacrimal ducts otherwise it will avoid the systemic absorption.

Charles Darwin's finding that the finches on the Galapagos islands looked different from the mainland finches despite their common ancestry from South America is an example of C. adaptive radiation.

What is common ancestry?

Common ancestry refers to blood relationships. Thus, two species may have common ancestry if they are related by blood.

According to Charles Darwin, common ancestry explains the similarities between different species.

However, a rapid increase in the number of species with a common ancestor, characterized by great ecological and morphological diversity results from adaptive radiation.

Thus, Charles Darwin's finding that the finches on the Galapagos islands looked different from the mainland finches despite their common ancestry from South America is an example of C. adaptive radiation.
