A grocery store newspaper claims that apple cider and honey can cure cancer, bronchitis, acne, bad breath, heart disease, athlet
frosja888 [35]
The shopper should first ask if this claims created by the newspaper is true and is backed up by actual facts. While apple cider and honey do have positive benefits, it is not the answer to all ailments.
Assuming that everything said was true, the shopper then must know whether or not he/she has allergies to apple cider and honey like itching, rashes, difficulty in swallowing, etc.
Lastly, the shopper should ask how much apple cider and honey should he/she take. Too much of both can lead to adverse side effects. If he/she were to consume apple cider and honey exclusively, then they should visit a doctor or a nutritionist in order to get the right amount of intake.

You perform the following dihybrid cross: A blaBx Ab/aB. The A and B genes control different traits. What phenotypic ratio would
Luda [366]

Answer:

Option-D

Explanation:

In the given question the genotype of parental allele is- AbaB X AbaB. The alleles formed will be- AB, Ab,aB, ab in which the crossover allele will be AB and ab.

1. Unlinked genes

Now of these alleles are unlinked then the alleles will assort independently of each other therefore performing the punnett square we will get dihybrid ratio as 9:3:3:1 in which

1. A_B_ are 9

2. aaB_ are 3

3. A_bb are-3

4. aabb- 1

Since the crossover allele are AB and ab therefore A_B_ are 9 and aabb- 1 represent recombinant genotype.

2. Linked genes

When the genes will be linked then chances of crossing over will be reduced as a result of which only two type of allele will be formed which are-  Ab and aB and the recombinant frequency will become less.

Crossing these allele will  form Aabb , AaBb , AaBb  and aaBB  genotypes. The recombinant ratio will decrease as A_B_ is 2 and aabb is not present.

Thus, option-4 which states that the unlinked ration is  9:3:3:1  and linked ratio is  <9: >3: >3: <1 is correct.

The original habitat of the North American maggot fly, Rhagoletis pomonella, was native hawthorn trees. About 200 years ago, som
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer: Because apples mature more quickly than hawthorn fruit.

Explanation:

Sympatric speciation can be defined as the formation(evolution) of new species from the previously surviving ancestral species while both continue to inhabit at the same place. This is because the one of the two organism there got better resources than other.

Here, the reason the maggot fly has been contributed to the incipient speciation because apple matures more quickly as compared to that of the hawthorn fruit.

The flies feeding on apple have been selected for the rapid development.
