Make a comparison of length and width
length/width = length/width
eg. l is the length we are looking for

Then submit the number
length/width = length/width
l/18 = 12/6
l/18 = 2
l = 2 × 18
l = 36

The actual length is 36 inches

Auto insurance Insurance companies collect annual pay-ments from drivers in exchange for paying for the cost of accidents.a) Why
Igoryamba

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Because you are only receiving $1500 and in exchange you would have to cover for this accident damage in the next year, which could be up to hundred of thousands of dollar. Sure there's a chance the your neighbor might drive safely, but the odds are far more in his favor than yours.

b) The insurance company collect payments from hundred of thousands buyers, making their cash flow up to tens of million dollar. Sure the expected value of accidents might be high but as a company they surely have capital to cover a handful of cases, if their calculation done right.

1. How much work is done when a 65 newton force moves a block 5 meters?
Alik [6]

Answer:

i am not sure but i might know how to do it

Step-by-step explanation:

work is described as taking place when a force acts upon an object to cause a displacement. When a force acts to cause an object to be displaced, three quantities must be known in order to calculate the work. Those three quantities are force, displacement and the angle between the force and the displacement. The work is subsequently calculated as force•displacement•cosine(theta) where theta is the angle between the force and the displacement vectors. In this part of Lesson 1, the concepts and mathematics of work will be applied in order to analyze a variety of physical situations
