Describe the sampling distribution of p(hat). Assume the size of the population is 30,000.
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

a) \mathbf{\mu_ \hat p = 0.6}

b) \mathbf{\sigma_p =0.01732}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

population mean \mu = 30,000

sample size n = 800

population proportion p = 0.6

a)

The mean of the the sampling distribution is equal to the population proportion.

\mu_ \hat p =  p

\mathbf{\mu_ \hat p = 0.6}

b)

The standard deviation of the sampling distribution can be estimated by using the formula:

\sigma_p = \sqrt{\dfrac{p(1-p)}{n}}

\sigma_p = \sqrt{\dfrac{0.6(1-0.6)}{800}}

\sigma_p = \sqrt{\dfrac{0.6(0.4)}{800}}

\sigma_p = \sqrt{\dfrac{0.24}{800}}

\sigma_p = \sqrt{3 \times 10^{-4}}

\mathbf{\sigma_p =0.01732}

If the price of a purse increased from $45 to $54, what was the percent of increase
Marrrta [24]
If you set it up in cross multiplication then you would have (x/100 = 45/54) then cross multiply so then i would look like this (54x/4,500) so from there you would divide 54 from 4,500 i hope this helps in any way  oh and it should come up to be 83.3333333 which would be 83% lol

musickatia [10]

I just did one of these. I guessed that normal form is

x \cos \phi + y \sin \phi -  p = 0

Here' that's

x (\sqrt{3}/2) + y (1/2) - 10 = 0

\sqrt{3} x + y - 20 = 0

Choice b
